You will become as sure as I am that of these small groups will be exchanging sounds together while ignoring the hundreds of others. Overnight Diving The differences between an afternoon dive and an overnight dive are dramatic. Going on a fast 56 mile round trip to bird Island in normal seas can be tough. When the weather is blustery the waves can make it down right miserable. This is why over 30% of the day Bird Island trips are cancelled. If you are going at a leisurely speed on a larger boat in the night it is much more comfortable and you wake in the morning ready for the days diving. We give you an extra tank over the regular day dive so there is time to enjoy all. Another important factor is the hurried day dive and the leisurely overnight dive are the same price and with the overnight package you receive a breakfast and a big lunch. On an extended overnight trip to deeper water you will catch fish big enough that they will not fit in a bucket. Bird island Overnight Diving I have had several of my diving friends that have been diving all over the world talk with me on the way back from bird Island saying I was right when I said it was one of most memorial diving experiences. The reason is of the 4,000 plus seals and sea lions on the island literally dozens of them will be swimming right next to you and you do not have to be afraid. They will swim between your legs come right up to your mask and when you put your hand up they will back up. On land these animals can be territorial but in the water their abilities to maneuver are 100 times greater than yours and so you are not perceived as a threat to them.
